The Flower Tiles

In Filipino Mahjong, all the other tiles—Winds, Dragons, Seasons, and Flowers—are all simplified and categorized as "Flowers".

These tiles are not usedin your hand for melds. If you draw one, you must lay it down immediately and draw a replacement from the "flower wall."

Note: While other versions use Winds and Dragons to build sets, Filipino Mahjong treats them as bonus tiles that grant instant payouts and extra turns.

The Joker

Many Filipino Mahjong games include a Joker tile. This is a wild card that can represent any tile to complete a win, but cannot be used for claims like CHOW or PONG.

Mahjong tile BACK

The Joker is randomly determined at the start of each hand by flipping a tile from the wall.
